Hestah Magazine welcomes submissions for short fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, videography, and photography. We’re looking for artistic, fresh voices, compelling stories, and interactive visuals to share, and we are mainly excited about supporting emerging creative talent. The best way to get a good understanding of Hestah is by reading the content in the magazine. There will be no monetary reward for contributions Hestah’s goal is to create a safe and creative space for those whose identities have been reconceptualized under diasporic conditions. A specific theme becomes the backbone for articles, interviews, stories, poetry, etc. from a diverse group of voices in each Issue.
Hestah is committed to the idea of inclusion but not to the exclusion of perspectives.
Our reading period is currently open and runs from September 19th- January 17th, 2021. We will be considering work for Issue 6, which will be released on January 31st, 2022. The theme for issue 6 is progression. Please note, we are unable to accept any submissions sent to us via post or social media. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable as long as we’re notified immediately if the work is selected for publication elsewhere. All work should be previously unpublished.
If you’d like to contribute art, photography, or video visuals to Hestah, please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and include either a link or a PDF of the work.
